Version 1.0 · Effective date: October 13, 2026. These Terms are an agreement between Daniel Shook, doing business as School READi HQ™ ("we," "us") and the school, district or organization that signs up for School READi HQ™ (the "Customer"), including the people it invites ("Users"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you sign up for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.
School READi HQ helps school security teams track service tickets, incident reports, building security assessments, drills, equipment and inventory, post schedules, reminders, a daily memo book and meeting notes, and includes READi, a built-in AI assistant. We may improve, add or change features over time and will give notice before removing a major feature Customers rely on.
The Customer owns everything it and its Users put into the app ("Customer Data"). The Customer gives us permission to host, store, process and display Customer Data only to provide and support the service. We protect Customer Data as described in our Privacy Policy and will not sell it or use it for advertising. The Customer is responsible for having the right to enter the data it uploads, including any photos of people.
School READi HQ, including its software, design, screens, checklists, report layouts, name and logo, belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trademark law. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your organization while your account is active. It does not give you ownership of the app or the right to copy, resell or redistribute it.
We may suspend or terminate access that breaks these rules, is used unlawfully, creates a security or fraud risk, or otherwise puts the service or other Customers at risk — and will tell you why when we can.
School READi HQ is a planning and record-keeping tool. It is not an emergency alert, 911 or life-safety system. In an emergency, call 911 and follow your school's emergency procedures. Checklists and reminders in the app support, but do not replace, your professional judgment, legal requirements, fire and building codes, or advice from law enforcement and qualified experts.
READi uses an artificial-intelligence service to answer questions about your data and to suggest new records. Its answers can be wrong or incomplete, so check anything important. READi never saves a record until a User taps Add. Questions and the data needed to answer them are sent to our AI provider only to produce the answer, under terms that do not allow that provider to train its models on your data.
Each User needs a paid subscription: $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year, each starting with a 7-day free trial (a payment card is required, and nothing is charged until the trial ends). An account owner can mark individual members as free so they do not pay. Unless canceled, a subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period. See our Refund Policy for how refunds work.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
We work to keep the app available and secure, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free; it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. Support is available at support@schoolreadihq.com.
A User may cancel their subscription at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. We may suspend or end access for material breach, non-payment, or security or fraud risk, with notice where practical. After the account ends, the Customer can export its data for 30 days; we then delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and we do not promise the service will be error-free or prevent any security incident. To the extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the Customer paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them (for example, liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence).
If the Customer is a public school or government body, any provision that conflicts with laws that apply to it (such as limits on indemnity or rules on governing law) applies only to the extent that law allows.
We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify administrators at least 30 days before they take effect and ask Users to agree to the new version in the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, and disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York, unless the law that applies to a public Customer requires otherwise.
